Promotion of rain water harvesting techniques for fruit plant productivity and awareness campaign to promote fruits in dietary intake to achieve dietary balance

Plenty of rainfall is available if it’s properly managed and harvested. Fertile soil coupled with rain harvested water can produce best quality fruits. If targeted population is fully sensitized on importance of fruits in their dietary intake, it will not only improve health standards of the targeted population on short term basis but also can create an environment where quality fruits with multiple types can be produced at household level for consumption to ensure dietary balance in the long term with minimum cost, focusing more on self-reliance.  updates here at this page. This information consist of promotion of nutrition sensitive agriculture techniques, education, awareness, training, low external inputs, rain water harvesting etc.

The expected outputs of these interventions are increased awareness about traditional agriculture, nutritious food, dietary diversification particularly among women and children of Beer Valley Haripur.
