Agreements for the SUNSAI project have been signed based on 7 projects.

The project team attended the pre - implementation monitoring session in ISD head office.

Among the outreach strategies of the projects; some are

         1. Using the females' development group as an entry point to grow diverse vegetables whereby as change agents

the group members educate their peers to extend the practice.

         2. Using the self help group for initiation of the practices in the SUNSAI project.

         3. Using School nutrition clubs to grow diverse vegetables and replicate the practice to the wider range of the local community.

Let us take time to eat diverse and enable others to

  1. Outreach strategies are crucial for the implementation of projects. They really help us to reach in to targets easily and to make the project sustainable.

Meanwhile,Beza for women community based development association identified the following out reach strategies for SUNSAI II,

    1. using 1-5 group( it was initiated by the government for the sake of his own benefit). But now we are  proposed to use this organized group for SUNSAI implementation.
    2. we are also proposed to use women based Idir's and associations. when they gathered for their own agenda we can mainstream our nutritional issues for them
    3. By using school  nutrition clubs and school community in general to have awareness on nutrition and to enable them organic vegetable producers and consumers.
    4. using religious leaders ( if possible) to speak about balanced food diet for all and  for children ,pregnant and lactating mothers  in particular.

  2. Hi my dear Selam

1–5 is good opprtunity for work but it is  poetical idea

if the participans agreed on it  well,if not you can chage the name of 1to 5

  3. Greetings to all sustainable development members

It is a great initiative to talk about how to reach out.1 to 5 networking works well if we use it wisely.  Politics is a power; we need it to facilitate our development works. So that it is good if we use the existing political structure of 1 to 5 networking as a good opportunity to implement our SUNSAI in addition to each particular local strategy.

  4. SUNSAI Project in Tehuledere district of North east Ethiopia started its implementation phase; the consultative meeting and the FGD were more helpful for the next works of the project.
