  1. ISD team has conducted introductory workshops in three Woredas of two regions Oromia and Amhara. In each woreda the participants elected their Steering Committee members consisting of 3 persons. And 11 participants were elected to be MAAN leaders, in our term as core RSP facilitators.

Dear Alemayehu Ayalew Tegegn, could please inform what is the main function of the Steering Committees? Are these almost same people as the 11 RSPs of MAAN leaders? What challenges they have to join the platform? Once they are registered, please make sure that we have also profile picture of everyone.

Another point recently raised and discussed in our Nepal space, do you have Alpacas? This animal has the best wool and meat of high nutrition already widespread in Peru. I wondered how the picture looks in Ethiopia?

  2. Dear All, you were asking us to share a highly nutritional value animals/plants. of course the is a 'Pig' in Ethiopia and as we all know it's very high nutritional content. but the problem is that our culture, Ethiopia; can't permit to eat a meat of pig. not only culture religion also forbid to eat pig. so how can you guys can promote this high nutritional content animal in Ethiopia? but this animals are grown up in different parts of Ethiopia including Addis Ababa, i don't know whether people from Addis are using it or not.

  3. Dear Nigus Bililign Yimer, if you think the pig can not be grown because of the local culture, then do you have any other option? For example, in Peru they have Alpacas, check the Peru discussion about it just by searching above or entering Peru space.

  4. Dear Alemayehu Ayalew Tegegn, thank you for your promotion and making progress in letting the members register. I think they are all very intelligent and curious people, how about facilitating some discussions here? How about talking about local recipes? And Gizaw Gebremariam from the other hand could start attracting national actors to join the platform and share their views about Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture? I am sure Sue Edwards will have many ideas to support you all and make the Ethiopian page active and vibrant with many stakeholders participating in it.
